Shiraz teamed up with GQ Magazine + Tommy  Hilfiger to showcase the talents of mixologists from NYC leading Speakeasy’s, Pegu Club, Death & Company, The Clover Club.  Shiraz paired “Comfort Food” hors d’oeuvres with the custom cocktails.

In spite of company policies that prohibit men from sporting unnecessary facial hair, next month thousands of people around New York City will begin to grow mustaches to raise money and awareness for prostate cancer charities.

The kick-off event?… “Movember” NYC, where Shiraz Events was on hand catering and mixing cocktails… sporting mustaches too! See more photos>>

As of October 2010, Shiraz Events is the exclusive operator and food/beverage provider for The Wolfsonian Museum as well as the operator of The Cake Factory at the new Dynamo Café in The Wolfsonian Museum. Check out photos of a cupcake decorating party for the kids hosted at the Dynamo!

The celebration of author Paul Pope’s VIP party at Ferrari-Maserati of Ft. Lauderdale. The party was to celebrate Paul Pope’s new book, Deeds of My Fathers. Ferrari clients, friends of Paul Pope and celebrities like Anna Kournikova and Joey Fatone enjoyed Shiraz cocktails, HD’s, florals, + Ferrari colored ties on our staff. See more photos>>.

#FNO: Shiraz Events Recap

For Fashion Night Out in NYC, Shiraz Events was part of the SoHo, West Village, and Madison/5th Avenue madness! 

With a Wizard of Oz theme, we designed a  Yellow (brick road) carpet spread across the front sidewalk of the Furla boutique on Madison Avenue. The carpet lead to a branded taxi cab with graphics from Furla’s featured bag for the season. The theme continued into the event with emerald gems as focal points arranged on silk cushions and a “Yellow Brick Road” dessert; Olive Oil Pound Cake Sandwiches with Strawberries. See More>>

At the Tommy Hilfiger store on 5th Avenue, attendance exceeded expectations. Tommy and the Hilfiger’s made an appearance and made sure to enjoy the signature cocktail designed by Shiraz Events: the Cucumber Basil Martini.

 With Rachel Zoe and the Project Runway cast making appearances at the SoHo pop-up store, Piperlime was a very popular spot. Lime green accents brought the brand Piperlime full circle, from the staffs belts, to the signature cocktail, Sage Citrus Surprise.  Our other events in New York included: Cavalli on Madison, Versace on 5th Ave., Jill Sander– SoHo and Madison Avenue, Urban Daddy at Bloomingdales SoHo, Moncler’s new boutique in SoHo, Maison Martin Margiela, and Mango with Remy Cointreau.

 In Miami at Bal Harbour, Shiraz Events had the pleasure of working with brands such as: David Yurman, Fendi, Pucci, Brooks Brothers, Ferragamo, Dior and YSL.

Scientific Food Trends for the Summer!

Shiraz Events’ worldly inspired palate is one for ever-changing food trend ideas. When asked about ideas for a “Trends in Canapes” inspired story for Southern Hospitality, Shai and Yaniv suggested the following ideas which Shiraz Events  catering spices up for clients.

1. Gourmet Fusion Empanadas: The Latin community in Miami is so strong, so we’ve taken a basic concept of the empanada and created gourmet fusion empanadas. For example, filling them with fois gras and date compote. 

2. Lollipops: Local guests love their lollipop so we aim to please and serve salmon and goat cheese lollipops; as well as frozen red grape with pistachio and blue cheese. 

3. Cold Soup Bar: Watermelon gazpacho, chilled apple-ginger-carrot, chilled sweet pea and mint in demi cups- no cream, sounding mouth watering yet? Guests at the MOCA Gala found it irresistible. 

4. Molecular Gastronomy: We created caviar looking drops of flavor using molecular gastronomy. Lately, we’ve been serving a small bite size dessert with chocolate cups filled with grape mousse and pomegranate “caviar”. 

5. Food for Thought: We like keeping things fresh and lean, so grilled hors d’oeuvres are very popular. For example: grilled lime rubbed shrimp or aged beef bites.
